Focusing her law practice on trucking litigation, Ashley M. Marcos joined Whiting Law Group in 2019.
A native of Kentucky, Ms. Marcos received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish from the University of Kentucky, graduating cum laude. Ashley went on to attend the University of Notre Dame Law School, where she focused her studies on championing the causes of those in need.
While in law school, Ms. Marcos assisted one of her law professors in writing an amicus curiae brief on The Alien Tort Act. She also interned with a number of state agencies including the Equal Opportunity Commission and the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic. After completing an international research project for the Honorable Manuela Fernandez Prado of the High Tribunal of Spain, Ms. Marcos joined a plaintiffs personal injury firm where she honed her litigation skills.
Since joining Whiting Law Group, Ashley has been a critical member of the trial team, successfully arguing motions that resulted in numerous successful settlements including:
- $9M settlement with a Top 100 Trucking Company for a client who sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) as the result of an improperly coupled trailer decoupling on a major interstate;
- 3.5M settlement for a wrongful death failure to diagnose medical malpractice case.
- 1.2M settlement against a major trucking company.
Ashley has a true passion for protecting the rights of individuals. “I am driven by how much I see these accidents impacting someone’s life,” she said. “As an attorney, I take enormous pride in empowering my clients during a time in their lives that is otherwise overwhelming.”
Ashley leads with compassion, and credits her impressive record from taking an individualized approach to each of her cases and never losing touch of the human impact that an injury has on someone’s life. She believes persistence and communication are the keys to success.
“I believe in a humanistic approach to handling all aspects of my cases. I invest in my clients and spend the time to understand who they are and how their lives have changed after trauma. As the advocates for our clients, this investment is critical for us to be able to tell their stories and maximize their recovery after such a difficult time in their life.”
When she is not practicing law, Ashley is an avid traveler, reader, and restaurant enthusiast.
