Faces of Distracted Driving: John Sligting

For National Distracted Driving Awareness month, we are posting a third video to shed light on the tragedies caused by distracted driving. Today’s video comes from the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and was published by the Department of Transportation. This is the last in our series of posts sharing the “Faces of Distracted Driving.”

The facts of John’s case are tragic:

On June 13, 2007, 56-year-old John Sligting was killed when a teen driver talking on her cell phone rolled through a stop sign and into the path of his motorcycle.
