Improving Truck Accident Skills with a Commitment to Education

As this week comes to a close, I am very much looking forward to the weekend. Not because I am planning some relaxing weekend on a beach or a quiet weekend in a cabin in the woods. Rather, I am looking forward to attending a seminar for trucking accident lawyers with some of the top attorneys in this area of practice.
Organized by the American Association for Justice, through its Trucking Litigation Group (a group of which I am a member), this important gathering will focus on pursuing cases against brokers and shippers. I look forward to the presentations and to taking an active part in what will be engaging and thought-provoking discussions.

A Wider Focus on Education

Having been a trucking accident and personal injury lawyer for almost 20 years now, I really appreciate the value of professional development and on-going education.  My associates and I regularly attend seminars and conferences on leading-edge, relevant topics like case law, expert witnesses, trial strategies and more in the area of trucking crashes and personal injury.

It is my belief that my firm’s commitment to education and professional development is a key factor in our success. Our clients benefit from our investment of time, energy and money, into our own professional development. Our skills and knowledge improve with each course or seminar we attend.

The Complexities of Trucking Litigation

The trucking industry is complex, and the successful pursuit of justice against truck drivers, trucking companies, brokers and shippers who negligently injure and kill others requires a lot of detailed knowledge. The are hundreds FMSCA rules and regulations to govern the safe operation and handling of the big trucks. There are also plenty of state laws. The trucks themselves are very advanced and complex machines; understanding how they work takes a considerable amount of knowledge.

These in-depth intricacies of a trucking crash are why my associates and I spend our weekends attending seminars and delivering presentations about the relevant areas of trucking accident and personal injury law. We are committed to being the best lawyers we can be for our clients.
