With the end of August upon us, a great summer for Whiting Law Group is coming to an end. We are excited to share some great news with you about a few of our accomplishments from this summer. In the coming weeks and months, we will share more details about many of the items below – but we want to share the good news today.
Great Truck Accident Results for Our Clients
Over the course of the summer, the entire firm worked very hard to secure justice for our clients. Below are just a few of our more significant results.
- $2.95 million for a victim hit by a delivery truck in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- $1.0 million for a truck driver killed by another truck driver in southern Illinois
- $600,000 for a truck driver injured by improperly loaded cargo in Illinois
Top Lawyers at a Top Personal Injury Law Firm
We are delighted to share the news that Timothy M. Whiting, the firm’s founder and lead personal injury and truck accident attorney, was named as a Leading Lawyer in Illinois. That’s an honor bestowed on less than 5% of attorneys across the state.
Sara M. Davis, whose experience and success includes impressive results in construction accidents and other personal injury action, has also garnered a growing reputation within the legal community. This summer, Sara was named a Rising Star for the third year in a row. She was also selected as one of the top 40 Under 40 attorneys. Lastly, she was also selected as an Emerging Leader by the Leading Lawyers Network.
The firm is delighted to share the news that as spring turned to summer, Torrie Poplin celebrated her two year anniversary as a personal injury attorney with Whiting Law Group.
Publications and Presentations
As a leading truck accident lawyer, Tim Whiting is often asked to speak and publish articles on topics related to truck accident litigation.
In June, Tim delivered a talk about cargo securement in truck accident cases at APITLA’s national conference. His presentation was entitled the Nuts and Bolts of Cargo Securement. (APITLA is a professional organization of leading truck accident attorneys.)
Over the summer, he published an article entitled A 3-Step Guide to Evaluating A Load Securement Case, which was published in the American Association for Justice’s TLG Journal of Trucking Litigation.
In late August, Tim served on a panel of leading truck accident lawyers at the AIEG’s Trucking Seminar. Tim spoke about issues involving truck maintenance and record keeping.
Supporting the NKFI
In late June we organized a team of walkers to support the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois. Taking part in Walk for Kidneys, Team Whiting Law Groupraised $2,437.00 for charity. We extend a big thanks to all the walkers on our team and to all our generous friends and colleagues who donated to this important cause. (It’s not too late to make a donation. Please take a moment to hear Tim explain why he is so supportive of the NKFI.)
As summer turns to autumn, we look forward to continuing our fight for justice on behalf of men and women injured by the negligence of others.
