Our own Tim Whiting was nominated for the chair on the Executive Board of the American Association for Justice’s Trucking Litigation Group. The nomination from April is to be confirmed by voting at the Annual Convention of the AAJ to be held in Boston on July 22-25.
It is a profound honor to have our founding partner co-chair the Executive Board of Truck Litigation Group, which is our core specialty, at such a prestigious organization as American Association for Justice.
Being a member of the Trucking Litigation Group at AAJ gives our office access to accumulated experience of our colleagues battling overwhelming resources of corporate counsel in litigation. We have access to documents on similar cases; strategies that worked or didn’t work in other cases, so we can avoid pitfalls and effectively prepare for trial; a referral network of colleagues we can call for advice when facing unexpected challenges.
American Association for Justice has been promoting a fair and effective justice system and supporting the work of attorneys in their effort to ensure that any person who is injured by misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.
As the world’s largest trial bar, AAJ promotes justice and fairness for injured persons, safeguards victims’ rights—particularly the right to trial by jury—and strengthens the civil justice system through education and disclosure of information critical to public health and safety.
